RENTAL INFORMATION FOR DIAMOND CARS RENTAL CARS

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

When the vehicle is handed over, the renter and the driver must present an identity card or passport, a driving license from an EU/EEA state (including Switzerland) that is valid in the country and required to drive the vehicle, and a means of payment that is valid for at least 30 days from the date the vehicle is returned and is accepted by Diamond Cars.

Photocopies and digital documents are not accepted.

A driver's license not issued in Latin script (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be presented in addition to an international driver's license. For driver's licenses from countries that are not party to the international driver's license agreements, a certified translation is required in addition to the original driver's license.

Driver's licenses from non-EU/EEA countries are accepted if
a) there is no visa entered in the renter's/driver's passport or
b) the renter/driver has a visa in his/her passport and has not been in an EU/EEA country for more than 6 months at the time of rental. If he/she has been in an EU/EEA country for more than 6 months, a driver's license from an EU/EEA country must be presented.

MINIMUM AGE

There are certain rules regarding the minimum age, which depend on the vehicle in question and can be found in the booking process. All drivers must have held a driving licence for at least 3 years.

PAYMENTS METHODS

The car rental company accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards, cash and Maestro/V PAY cards. The payment method must be in the tenant's name and be valid for at least 30 days before the start of the rental period.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A deposit must be paid as security. This can be paid by a VISA or MasterCard credit card.

The amount of the deposit depends on the vehicle rented and for renters with their main residence in Germany or Austria it is based on the following list:

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche: EUR 5,000
Audi R8, Mercedes-AMG G63: EUR 3,500
All other vehicles: EUR 2,500

For renters with their main residence in all other countries, the deposit is the amount of the deductible for the fully comprehensive insurance, which can be found in the booking process.

INSURANCE

The insurance cover for the rented vehicle includes liability insurance with a maximum coverage amount for personal injury and property damage of EUR 100 million. The maximum coverage amount per injured person is EUR 8 million and is limited to Europe. The excess in the liability insurance is EUR 1,000 per claim.

Liability for accidents (contractual liability limitation) for damage to the vehicle, for vehicle loss and fire towards the car rental company is limited. A contractually agreed liability limitation corresponds to the model of fully comprehensive insurance. In this case, the renter and the drivers included in the scope of protection of the contractual liability limitation are liable for each individual damage event up to an amount equal to the agreed deductible, which can be taken from the booking route.

If damage is caused intentionally or through gross negligence, the claim to the fully comprehensive insurance (including theft protection) taken out can be reduced or waived.

TRIPS ABROAD

Use abroad is permitted in the following countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Use in other countries requires a request and is possible subject to special conditions.
